2026 Oritain Supplier Intelligence Report

Cotton suppliers are more open to transparency than the industry gives them credit for. This report draws on Oritain's Analysis of Suppliers' Traceability Knowledge (2025), a survey of 122 senior supplier decision makers across ten key markets in Asia and Southeast Asia. The research combined quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews for richer insight into traceability practices. Of those surveyed, 74% already run some form of traceability and 77% want to collaborate on origin verification.

But having traceability is not the same as having evidence. As forced labor bans spread, tariffs tie closer to origin, and border controls tighten, suppliers are being asked to verify that their records match the fiber itself.

Download the report to uncover:

  • How suppliers rate supply chain transparency, and what is driving demand for it
  • The biggest barriers to becoming a trusted supplier for retailers
  • How expanding forced labor bans, Section 301 tariffs and stronger border controls are raising the evidence bar
  • How a verified supplier network helps suppliers respond to origin challenges with independent evidence
