Oritain Continues Awards Success With Recognition in 2025 Deloitte Fast 50 and Master of Growth Index
3 December 2025
Oritain was named one of New Zealand’s fastest growing businesses in the Deloitte Fast 50 Awards for 2025. The company also achieved second place in the Master of Growth Index, a special category which recognizes businesses with sustained growth over the last five years.
The winners were announced at a black-tie awards ceremony in Auckland. This year’s awards celebrated 25 years of the Deloitte Fast 50 in New Zealand, a programme dedicated to ranking and recognizing the country’s fastest growing businesses.
Prof. Russell Frew, Oritain Co-founder and Chief Scientist, said: “It’s an honour for Oritain to be recognised alongside so many other amazing brands and businesses. This is a true reflection of how important our forensic origin verification is in building trust and transparency in global supply chains. It’s a testament to our talented and dedicated team across the world and the customers we work with every day. This wouldn’t have been possible without your support.”
Oritain’s success comes on the back of significant investments across 2025 in technology development, database expansion, market development, and capability building. Following an organisational transformation in 2024, Oritain implemented a focused strategy targeting key commodities delivering maximum sustainability impact.
The company expanded its global lab network through the acquisition of leading scientific and research facilities in Europe, complementing its founding laboratory Isotrace in Dunedin, New Zealand.
Oritain launched its market-leading forensic origin verification solution into the leather and timber sectors, including a partnership with World Forest ID to support protection of natural resources from deforestation.
Oritain also introduced a membership programme designed to connect responsible brands, manufacturers, and suppliers in a trusted network committed to transparency and leadership.

Oritain’s achievements capped off a year of high acclaim, with the company taking home the Environment award in the global 2025 Greater Good Awards for Forensic Science for Environmental Protection.
