Full-time

Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand

Oritain is a global leader in authenticity verification through science and data science. We provide scientific traceability solutions that help major brands understand the origin of their products and maintain supply chain integrity. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Agile Programme Manager (Science) for this newly created role to join our Dunedin team.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced project/programme manager to work with a great team of truly passionate people. You will plan, monitor, coordinate and report on the progress of our Science projects. You will be responsible for the implementation, use and maintenance of project management (agile) systems to assist the Science team in the efficient and organised execution of projects/sprints. You will be working closely with the Science Team Leads and Technical Product Manager on project/backlog planning, coordination, resource allocation, prioritisation and reporting. This is a full-time position based in our Dunedin office.

About you:

Maybe you are a Programme Manager with a few years' experience looking to make your next move or maybe you are a Project Manager looking to step up and manage a small team of 3-4 people as well as working with our larger Science team. Either way we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme planning, execution, monitoring and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Technical Product Manager to ensure the Science pipeline is aligned with the business priorities and to ensure operational targets are met.
  • Enable a highly collaborative way of working and help develop a high performing, self-managing team.
  • Supplier & Subcontractor Management.
  • Use Continuous Improvement practices to support processes in the team and across the company.
  • Contribute to broader organisational initiatives and activities.
  • You must be professionally qualified with one or more of these common project management certifications (CAPM, PMI, PRINCE 2) and have at least 2-3 years practical experience working in a commercial environment as a business or project/programme manager.
  • Scrum Certification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Ideally you will have previous experience of a high performing Agile team, or working knowledge of Agile principles, values and team structures.
  • A sound working knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software, ideally Jira and Confluence experience.
  • Experience in project planning, scoping, budgeting, forecasting, tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to engage with and enable teams to self-manage to produce work against well-defined intended outcomes.
  • A flexible and adaptable interpersonal system to naturally influence others.
  • Willingness to learn and be coached.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, while comfortably managing competing priorities.
  • 35 days holiday including STAT holidays.
  • Monthly well-being cash allowance.
  • Health Cash Plan.
  • Life Insurance.
  • Performance based annual bonus.
  • Your birthday off.
  • 2 days paid leave for volunteering.
  • Employee Assistant Programme.
  • An opportunity to enhance your career with an organisation that has a strong sense of purpose. In this role you will help companies to protect the integrity of their product and to mitigate the risk in global supply chains.
  • You will also be exposed to a wide variety of people and areas within the business and be given the opportunity to learn from a highly skilled and passionate team.

Applications will be progressed as they arrive. So, if you think this is the role for you and Oritain is the place you want to be, we encourage you to apply today! Applications will only be considered from candidates that have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
