18 September 2026
Oritain has been recognized in the 2026 Gartner® report Coolest Vendor Innovations in Supply Chain Sustainability. Published in September 2026, we believe that this distinction places Oritain's forensic origin verification technology alongside the industry's leading alternative, AI-driven and science-driven approaches to sustainability innovation.
To us, the recognition comes at a pivotal moment for supply chain sustainability as the industry moves decisively from a voluntary commitment to a regulated discipline.
Gemma Lynch, Oritain's Chief Customer Officer, acknowledged the importance of this, saying, “We’re thrilled to be featured amongst this select group of innovators taking new, evidence-based approaches to the problem.
The report states that "customers must be guided to adopt a programmatic, long-term approach to compliance in line with risk appetite expectations, rather than reacting abruptly to isolated adverse results."
This is precisely the gap Oritain set out to close when it launched the Oritain Membership program in 2025. Rather than treating origin verification as a one-off test, the program gives customers tailored, ongoing verification programs, faster test turnaround times, and access to exclusive supply chain market insights, helping them build compliance into their long-term risk strategy rather than respond to it reactively.
"Supply chain sustainability is becoming more regulated, more complex and more evidence led," said Lynch. "Oritain's forensic origin verification gives companies a science-led way to help verify product origin and support stronger supply chain risk, compliance and sustainability decision-making."
In our view, being named in this report reinforces that Oritain’s forensic origin verification can sit alongside documentation and digital systems as its own evidence layer, giving risk, compliance and sustainability teams a scientific check that complements existing traceability systems.
"We believe that receiving this accolade is an important endorsement of the work we're doing at Oritain to drive more positive social, environmental and commercial outcomes," said Lynch.
To us this recognition builds on a run of recent international awards and accolades for Oritain, including the Judges' Choice distinction in the Environmental Impact category at the Environment + Energy (E+E) Awards, the Environment award in the global 2025 Greater Good Awards for Forensic Science for Environmental Protection, and a finalist placement in the Drapers Awards 2025 for Sustainability Tech Innovator of the Year.
These awards are a reflection that independent bodies across the analyst, environmental and industry communities are recognizing forensic science as a credible, necessary layer of supply chain assurance.
