EUDR and the Leather Industry
Global demand for leather products is fueling deforestation. The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) bans the exportation from or sale in the EU market of leather (and other) products that have been produced on deforested land. Businesses exporting leather products to the EU will need to comply with the EUDR or face penalties.
