Guide: EUDR and the Coffee Industry
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) prohibits the exportation from or sale in the EU market of coffee (and other products) that have been produced on land deforested since December 31st, 2020.
Millions of acres of forests are cleared every year to make way for coffee growing. Exporters of coffee products to the EU will need to comply with EUDR requirements or risk facing penalties.
