About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Interpretation Technician to join our Operational Delivery team based at our Dunedin office. Please note that this is a 12-month fixed term role. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your career with a meaningful role!

The Data Interpretation Technician supports the Data Interpretation Team in analysing and interpreting data gathered from various samples.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the statistical investigations of chemical data for Oritain's Clients.
  • Analyse and interpret data collected from various samples.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in data interpretation.
  • Produce reports summarising the findings from data analysis.
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of data analysis processes and systems through Lean.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine data interpretation approaches and techniques.
  • Professionally qualified with a BSc, MSc or equivalent in a science relevant field (e.g.: Chemistry, Food Science, Materials Science).
  • Understanding of statistical modelling, and data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with the R statistical programming platform is an advantage.
  • Ability to apply scientific concepts in a commercial setting.
  • Understanding of lean management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Proactive problem-solving and prevention skill set.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Naturally resilient and comfortable managing competing priorities.
