As we continue to expand, we are seeking 2 x Production Team Managers to join our Dunedin Delivery Team.

These newly created roles will be dedicated to lead our Production Technicians and be responsible for the daily management of tasks in the Product Delivery Teams. Their focus will be on quality control in the day-to-day management, ensuring that work is delivered to Oritain's clients in-full on-time. Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily management of Production Technicians & workflow of tasks in the Product Delivery Teams to meet DIFOT.
  • Optimise team performance through strategic work allocation and process improvements.
  • Drive improvements to the workflow through Lean processes (<1-month programmes).
  • Be a role model to drive positive behaviour's and values.
  • Implement new capabilities/software functionalities within the Product Delivery workflow.
  • Maintain alignment of product with product teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the teams are meeting OKR's.
  • Provide management support for individual team members, including onboarding, training, ongoing role competency and development.
  • Act as the first point of contact for workflow-related issues, escalating as necessary.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar managerial role within a production environment.
  • Be flexible, and collaboratively build & define this new role to add maximum value to the Delivery Operations team.
  • Confident working in a constantly changing environment, and comfortable with newness & freshness as the norm.
  • A strong understanding of Lean/continuous improvement management systems and their application.
  • A good understanding of process management and quality assurance processes in a production environment.
  • The ability to identify, define, engage stakeholders, design, communicate and implement new processes as required.
  • Demonstrable leadership and team management skills with a positive attitude to change.
  • Naturally resilient and thrives with competing priorities on the go.
  • Proficient in performance management and employee development.
  • Experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Possess a high level of computer literacy and be happy to embrace learning new software and it's challenges.
  • Background in data-driven decision-making is a plus.
  • An understanding of Kanban boards/work scheduling systems would be advantageous.
