As a Project Coordinator at Oritain, your role will be to support the science project team by facilitating the day-to-day administration & operational requirements of key projects. You'll need to be an admin super star, an organised multi-tasking master, and be naturally upbeat & positive. You will be a confident communicator and will work closely to assist project managers and team members to help deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
You will be adaptable, flexible and responsive in your working style. You could be someone returning to the workforce, an Admin/Office Assistant looking for your next challenge or maybe a recent Project Management graduate looking to get into this field of work. This role is full-time and based at our stunning Central Dunedin offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development of programme/project plans, including defining scope, objectives, timelines and resource allocation.
- Monitor milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues.
- Perform administrative tasks, including preparing project presentations, managing logistics and notes for meetings and handling correspondence.
- Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Identify, document, and escalate project and delivery risks and issues, working with Project Managers and Programme Managers to develop mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team by providing feedback and suggestions for enhancements.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of delivery status, changes, and key decisions.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Previous experience in a logistics, data entry or similar role.
- Understanding of supply chain management is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Familiarity with Jira software would be advantageous.
- A resilient and calm nature, able to positively influence others.
- Experience in applying lean and agile principles is highly desirable.
