For months, the scientists from Oritain collected and analyzed genetic samples from our 35 producer farms, in their three terroirs of origin, Chapada Diamantina (BA), Serras do Alto Paranaíba and São Sebastião do Paraíso (MG). And, by crossing the coffee cans of Origins with this database, they attested our traceability - top quality and good practices with people and the environment.
NESCAFÉ is a partner of coffee producers in these regions and, together, they have been developing special products that value the knowledge, flavors and natural qualities of each location. The result is a coffee grown with respect, valuing the different regions and with a careful selection of 100% Arabica beans. And all this flavor can be found in strainable and soluble versions.

Traceability like no other.
Oritain’s unique methodology applies forensic science and data to detect naturally occurring elements in a product or raw material. Soil composition, climate, altitude and other environmental factors all reveal the details of a product’s origin - which we call an Origin Fingerprint.
Once we’ve created an Origin Fingerprint, it can be used to audit our clients’ products at any point in the supply chain - to clearly differentiate the legitimate from the fraudulent.
